Good evening Marsh Fork Elementary, where we are building
leaders today for a brighter tomorrow! Tomorrow is our
Kindergarten - 5th grade students first day back to school! We
are so excited to welcome all of our little bulldogs back for a year
full of laughs, love and learning. A few things to remember: The
school doors open at 8:15 for Parent Drop off. Please stay in your
car as you drive around the circle to drop your child off. If you
must visit the office, you will need to park your car in a space,
then come inside. Family members will not be permitted to walk
to the rooms with the students. We have a caring, capable staff
that are ready to welcome your children and help them find their
way to the classrooms.
Dismissal for parent pickup will begin at 3:25. And buses will
begin to load at 3:30.
Last year, we had a very difficult time with attendance and fell
well below the state guideline of 95%. It is our goal for the
students this year to be Attendance HEROES!
That means they are Here, Everyday, Ready, On Time! It is also
essential for them to stay all day. If your child is late or picked up
early frequently, they are missing the same class repeatedly. This
creates gaps in their learning, and they will begin to struggle.
Help us to surpass the 95% goal this year!
Remember tonight is our Open House from 4:00-6:00! Can’t wait to see you there!
Don’t forget to come see us at the Beckley Convention Center (Armory) for the Back to School Wellness Fair! 9:00 - 2:00 tomorrow, August 12th.
